A respected mid-sized Houston law firm is actively seeking a Remote Title Opinion / Oil & Gas Transactions Associate to join its thriving energy practice. The firm is known for its flexibility, strong compensation structure, and fully remote position.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Oil & Gas Transactional Attorney with the expertise and independence to handle complex transactional matters with minimal supervision.
Candidates Must Be Ready To
• Draft Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs), and the full suite of transactional documents required by an oil & gas E&P land department
• Deliver final work product that is near-perfect-not just a first draft-for partner review
• Operate confidently in a remote work environment and manage their own workflow and deadlines effectively
Ideal Candidates Will Come From Either
• A Big Law background, or
• In-house experience at an oil & gas company (either in the General Counsel's office or Land department)
Compensation & Benefits
• Fully Remote: Work from anywhere
• Salary: Tailored to experience and based on chosen billable goal (1500-2000 hours)
• Bonus: Paid for exceeding set billable targets
• Management Bonus: Hourly rate for supervising other attorneys
