Job Description This role supports the organization by analyzing and administering employee benefits and time-off plans. The Benefits Specialist will perform manual calculations, manage changes and retros post-implementation, and ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related data. The role requires strong attention to detail, a numbers-based background, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Team Culture & Environment • Supportive and collaborative team dynamic • Welcoming environment with open communication • Day-to-day work guided by a Canada-based team member • Variety of tasks with opportunities to learn and contribute Key Projects & Responsibilities • Support the PayMod Project through manual calculations and day-to-day operations • Handle retros and changes post go-live • Perform manual calculations related to benefits and payroll • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Ensure compliance with plan terms and regulatory requirements Candidate Requirements Technology Skills: • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required) • Smartsheets • SAP (older version) • Experience with payroll systems (preferred but not required) Experience: • 1-2+ years in benefits, payroll, or financial roles • Strong numbers-based background • Manual calculation experience • Ability to work independently and in a team • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Degree in Finance or related field (nice to have) • Benefits experience • Canadian payroll or benefits experience Top Candidate Skills • Financial & Benefits Experience: Applied in separation, banking, cycle processing, garnishments, multi-state payroll, and full-cycle processing • Independent Work Capability: Manages tasks with minimal supervision • Attention to Detail: Delivers accurate work and clear communication Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
