Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies.
• Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
• Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist management with decision making.
• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionalities, and/or proposed solutions.
• Process all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements.
• Identifies innovative strategies to increase operational and system efficiencies.
• Works closely with business process owners, operations, users, and systems staff to define requirements, test criteria, and success factors.
• Documents and reviews all business process flows.
• Facilitates effective business meetings with internal project staff as well as client staff, as

appropriate.
• Works effectively with internal and external business partners to deliver solutions.
• Identifies, analyzes, and communicates all system and process defects.
• Provides production support for operations.
• Monitors process data to identify potential systems and process issues.
• Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
• Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Similar work experience in business analysis, identifying and documenting business

requirements to support business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with business and systems teams to develop business requirements

for system design and development.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with business owners to understand business needs and

document business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Demonstrated strong analytical/statistical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and accurately.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access, and other computer software applications.
• Knowledge of Medicaid managed care, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), HIPAA

compliance, and New York program, social service, geographic, and demographic environments,

preferred.
• Knowledge of call center operations preferred.
• Experience facilitating joint application development (JAD) sessions preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of Business Process Modeling, preferred.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
