The Project Coordinator/Assistant in the banking field plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of various banking projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational goals. The individual will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, track progress, handle documentation, and communicate updates.
Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
• Project Support and Coordination:
• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of banking-related projects (e.g., digital banking initiatives, system integrations, compliance projects, etc.).
• Collaborate with project managers to define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project tasks, meetings, and activities, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
• Track project progress, timelines, and milestones; proactively address any risks or delays.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, reports, and budgets.
• Support project managers with day-to-day operations, including organizing resources, tracking expenses, and maintaining project files.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including business units, IT, external vendors, and other teams.
• Prepare and distribute status reports, meeting agendas, and other communication materials to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, taking notes, and ensuring that action items are followed up on.
• Assist in organizing training or workshops related to project deliverables (e.g., new banking systems or processes).
• Risk and Issue Management:
• Monitor and flag potential risks and issues during the project lifecycle.
• Assist in identifying solutions and ensuring the team stays on track to meet deadlines and goals.
• Help maintain and track risk logs and assist with mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that deliverables meet the required standards and align with banking regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Assist in reviewing project outcomes and ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.
• Administrative Support:
• Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring financial aspects of the project are being tracked properly.
• Manage project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and status reports.
• Help prepare project presentations, proposals, or reports for senior management.
• Collaboration and Team Support:
• Foster effective collaboration between different teams within the bank (e.g., IT, operations, legal, finance).
• Assist in resolving conflicts or issues within the team, promoting a positive and productive working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Project Management, or a related field.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or similar) is a plus.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in project coordination or assistance, ideally in the banking or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of banking processes, systems, and regulations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana).
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of banking software and systems is beneficial.
