Key Responsibilities: Inspiring Student Success Instruct small "core" groups of students in math core skills, promoting long-term understanding and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT). Track student progress through our multi-phase curriculum, engaging students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities. Model professionalism and strong organizational skills, maintaining timely communication with students, updating lesson schedules, and holding students accountable for assignments. Spearhead the development and creative execution of ever-evolving lesson plans and curriculum, using practical, real-world examples to inspire a love for learning. Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding, recognizing the increasingly competitive and stressful college application process. Essential Qualifications: The Vanguard Edge To succeed as a Math Instructor at Vanguard College Prep, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master's or higher preferred). Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years). A GPA of 3.5 or higher. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites. Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction. Preferred Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate While not required, the following qualifications will set you apart as an exceptional candidate: Experience teaching at the college or community college level. A robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans. A desire to help students recognize, reach for, and realize their fullest potential. A dynamic and outgoing personality, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, particularly in subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
