Job Summary-

As the Assistant Growth & Operations Manager at Buff City Soap, you have a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a creative and engaging environment, while making a positive impact on the community.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Guest Services and Marketing-
• Through your example, ensure the team provides exceptional service to all guests. Handle any guest issues or complaints professionally and promptly, and ensure every customer enjoys a fun and tailored shopping experience.
• Oversee the guest’s customization process to ensure that guest preferences are well catered to across the variety of products and scents.
• Lead the organization and management of in-store events like Bath Bomb parties, ensuring they are enjoyable, safe, and promote the Buff City Soap brand and product knowledge.
• Actively engage in the local community to expand brand awareness, create local product customization partnerships, and participate in local charity events.
• Participate in and incorporate Buff City Soap corporate sales and marketing promotions to enhance brand awareness and guest engagement.

Production and Operations:
• Actively supervise the teams handcrafting process of a variety of products, including soaps, body and bath products, laundry soaps, dryer balls, foaming hand soaps, etc. Ensure the team is trained and proficient in making these products according to the company's standards.
• Directly take responsibility for the production, product presentation, cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the store.
• Manage and track the stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Optimize production to ensure there are enough materials to meet customer demand, without product waste.
• Oversee inventory and product placement, while maximizing product shelf life.
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and guest presentable at all times.

Leadership and Team Building:
• Foster a creative, engaging, and fun team environment.
• Train team members in retail operations, customer service, and the art of soap making, and promote their personal and professional growth.
• Embrace our “Lead by Example” platform for team and personal development. “Lead by Example” is characterized by a cycle of a) leaders Modeling desired behaviors, b) closely Observing individual/ team behaviors, and c) providing on-the-spot Praise/Feedback and Guidance to help team members and supervisors elevate their performance and capability.
• Coach and mentor high performing team members to expand their leadership opportunities; increasingly delegates responsibility to encourage professional development of team leaders.

Management and Reporting:
• Drive achievement of company sales goals and other metrics by developing action plans and frequent communication with team and leadership
• Instruct and motivate team to take an “entrepreneurial approach” to achieving store sales goals and earn related incentive bonuses. Encourage team members to contribute ideas to elevate store performance.
• Utilize financial reports and analytics to identify and address trends and issues in store performance. Follow up quickly on identified issues.
• Ensure that the store adheres to company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
• Report store performance daily to leadership, including sales, guest satisfaction issues, and operational or production issues.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an assistant manager or similar leadership role in the retail or hospitality industry
• Dominant focus on Guest Experience and satisfaction
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Familiarity with business and financial principles
• High school diploma or GED required | College Degree preferred

Salary and Benefits:
• Salary: $18-$19 hourly (Full-time Position)
