Full-Stack Lead / Solution Architect (Node + Nest + React/Next) SaaS Platform Development – Contract to Hire
About the Role We are looking for a senior full-stack engineer with strong architecture and DevOps understanding to work closely with our product and engineering team on our SaaS ecosystem. This is a lead-level role, you will help shape the architecture, guide best practices, and take ownership of engineering quality across services. We want someone who understands scalable SaaS architecture, can review and design module-level structure, guide DevOps decisions, and also implement features where required.This is an ongoing freelance engagement, with consistent collaboration. Required Senior-Level Skills Backend Architecture • Node.js, Nest.js (modular monolith + microservices patterns) • Designing scalable REST APIs & async workflows • Messaging systems (RabbitMQ / Kafka / SQS) • Redis caching patterns (cache-aside, write-through, TTL strategy) • SQL + NoSQL modeling • Code standards, versioning, documentation Frontend • React.js & Next.js (SSR/SSG/ISR strategies) • State management (Redux / Zustand / Context) • Performance optimization, client-side caching DevOps & Cloud (Must understand) • Docker, containerization best practices • bolthires/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) • Environment management & secrets handling • Cloud architecture understanding (Azure preferred / AWS acceptable) • Logging, monitoring, alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK etc.) • Deployment strategies: blue-green, rolling, zero-downtime Engineering Leadership • Ability to review architecture & guide the direction • Evaluate trade-offs and suggest pragmatic solutions • Break down complex modules into dev-ready tasks • Provide technical feedback to other developers • Maintain high code quality standards and documentation Responsibilities • Review and enhance the overall architecture of our SaaS platform • Design new modules with scalability, reliability, and performance in mind • Guide decisions around microservices vs modular monolith • Improve developer workflows, bolthires/CD, infra maturity • Implement critical backend/frontend features when required • Audit and improve API structure, data modeling, caching, and security layers • Collaborate with product/founder to convert business logic into technical flows • Help ensure production stability, observability, and best practices Nice-to-Have • Experience in eCommerce, delivery, logistics, or subscription systems • Experience with role-based access, multi-tenant SaaS, branch logic • Understanding of geo-based delivery feasibility & routing systems • Experience scaling SaaS for thousands of concurrent users What to Include in Proposal Please share: 1.Systems you have architected or led 2.
