As a Chicago-based EdTech company with over 20 years of experience, we partner with educators to deliver reliable, innovative tools and outstanding support. Due to an expanding development roadmap, we are hiring a full-time, 100% remote Full Stack Developer to join our collaborative team of developers and former educators.
The Role
This position offers significant ownership and influence. You will manage meaningful features from concept through launch, collaborate closely with teammates who possess both technical and classroom expertise, and ship software that creates a visible daily difference. What Youâll Do
Design, build, and maintain web-based features across the full stack.
Collaborate directly with developers and former educators to solve real classroom problems.
Build and consume APIs and manage relational databases.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements
Must Have
3+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience with at least one backend language (e.g., Java, PHP, C#, Go).
Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
UI and design experience (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, etc.).
Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
Experience building and consuming APIs.
Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals (Git, code reviews, testing).
Availability Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST), Chicago, IL.
Nice to Have
Experience with AI/ML integration, LLMs, or generative AI APIs.
Experience with React Router, server-side rendering, or modern React frameworks.
Background in EdTech or assessment/testing platforms.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Location
This is a fully remote, full-time position with a Chicago, Illinoisâbased EdTech company.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $100,000â$140,000, commensurate with experience.
Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.
Generous PTO (31 Days Total).

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
