Availability: Must be able to join within 45 days of offer. Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Frontend Developer to join our R&D team at REAL. As a member of our front-end engineering team, you will play a key role in implementing new features, troubleshooting bugs, and leading the technical vision and strategy for both our web and mobile applications. Your work will span across our React / Redux web app and React Native mobile application, ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, helping shape the future of our products.Duties/ResponsibilitiesFeature Development & Bug Fixing: Implement new features and squash bugs across the React/Redux web app and React Native mobile app.Technical Leadership: Lead and influence the overall technical vision and strategy for frontend engineering, driving improvements in product quality, performance, and developer experience.Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with engineers, participate in pairing sessions, conduct code reviews, and engage in weekly team discussions (Friday Dev Chats) to share knowledge and best practices.Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers in software engineering methodologies, design principles, and best practices, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product teams and feature owners to understand requirements and ensure efficient execution and deployment of features.Advocacy for Long-Term Health: Advocate for long-term improvements and provide recommendations that ensure the ongoing health and sustainability of the frontend codebase.Required Skills/Abilities: Frontend Expertise: Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and React Native.Testing Proficiency: Proficient in writing tests using Jest and Cypress/Playwright and maintaining solid code coverage.Technical Direction: Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions and provide recommendations for the long-term direction of frontend development.Collaboration & Mentorship: A collaborative attitude, with the ability to mentor and guide less-experienced engineers.Remote Work: Comfortable working with a distributed team across multiple time zones and locations.Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience with Next.js, Redux Toolkit, Tailwind CSS, and familiarity with Storybook and Figma.Product Focus: A strong focus on improving both developer experience and the end-user experience by ensuring features are well-executed and performant.Education and Experience:A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3 years of relevant experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on React, React Native, and TypeScript.A background in real estate or familiarity with real estate applications and their unique challenges would be a plus.Demonstrated experience in project coordination and leadership, with the ability to manage timelines and work efficiently across teams.Must-Have: Ability to truly encompass our Company Core ValuesWork Hard.
