We are seeking a Front End Developer to join our team!What You’ll Do:You will utilize React and best practices for Web Development. Experience with Webflow and Wordpress are added bonuses as we support several teams which use those tools. As a member of our Front End Dev team, you will work closely with our web development, software design, UI designer and marketing teams. You will also be responsible for helping build out new features, rethink old processes, and enabling third party systems to empower our marketing/sales/ and support teams. We are expanding our internal API suite and experience developing APIs with cross-functional teams is desired but not required.We’re looking for someone that is:Passionate about building friendly, easy to use Interfaces and APIs.Likes to work closely with other engineers, support, and marketing to help customers.Is comfortable working independently on a mutually agreed upon prioritization queue (we don’t micromanage, we do make sure tasks are reasonably defined and scoped) Diligent with quality control. Backblaze prides itself on giving our team autonomy to get work done, do the right thing for our customers, and keep a pace that is sustainable over the long run. As such, we expect everyone that checks in code that is stable. We also have a small QA team that operates as a secondary check when needed.The Right Fit:3+ years of experience working with React, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQueryExperience with Webflow, WordPress, Document360 and HubSpot is highly desired not requiredUnderstanding of ensuring cross-browser compatibility and browser security for featuresBasic SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to themEngineering best practices such as unit testing, and conducting code reviewsUsing mainstream software tests, development tools / applications (Jira, Jenkins, Git, Splunk, etc.)Knowledge of HTTP and it’s security best practicesFamiliarity with ES2015+, unit testing React Flux, Redux, SASS, Node experience is requiredExperience with third party libraries like Google Tag Manager and Google AnalyticsAt this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job description you're reading.
