Job Summary: Dying for a great job? Join our scream team as a Fright Fest character and enjoy the scariest job this side of the grave. Show us your coldest stare or wicked talent, and weâll bring you to the dark side as a Fright Fest character. Youâll enjoy an endless supply of fresh brains, plus other amazing perks that are to die for! This is a seasonal role that staffs our haunted houses, attractions, and scare zones throughout Fright Fest. This role begins in Mid-September and runs through the end of October.Previous acting or scaring experience is not required!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Take on a character role during Fright Fest
Scare the public at special park functions
Leave guestsâ screams echoing through the crisp night air
Maintain the safety of the attraction and guests
Remain in character at all times
Wear the assigned costume appropriately, and supply black shoes, black pants, and long sleeve black shirt
Operate a small prop
Maintain the cleanliness of the attraction including removing litter, changing trash, and wiping down surfaces
Listen to direction from attractions leadership
Must be willing to work in a haunted attraction
May come into contact with straw, corn, latex, small spaces, dark spaces, strobe lighting, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be available Saturdays from at least 4pm to park close
Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform job duties
Must maintain a positive attitude and working environment
Must be able to cooperate with other staff
Must be able to comply with Six Flags policy and standards
Must be able to handle stress
Must be able to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions
Must have strong work ethic and communication skills
Must be available for rehearsals/trainings starting in September
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
