Freelance SEO Specialist - Travel Deals / Promotions Website
Hire Digital is seeking an experienced Freelance SEO Specialist to establish a strong technical foundation and drive organic growth for our new travel deals and promotions website. You'll be responsible for implementing foundational SEO best practices, optimizing site performance, and setting up systems to increase visibility and drive qualified traffic. SEO Strategy & Implementation • Conduct comprehensive SEO audit and competitive analysis in the travel deals space • Develop and execute a tailored SEO strategy for travel and deals-focused content • Optimize website architecture, navigation, and internal linking structure • Implement technical SEO improvements (page speed, mobile optimization, schema markup) Keyword Research & On-Page Optimization • Perform extensive keyword research targeting travel deals, destinations, and promotional terms • Identify high-opportunity, low-competition keywords in the travel niche • Optimize existing pages, titles, meta descriptions, and headers • Develop keyword mapping for current and planned website sections Technical SEO & Website Optimization • Audit and improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness • Implement proper URL structure and redirect strategies • Set up and optimize XML sitemaps and robots.txt • Ensure proper implementation of schema markup for deals, reviews, and travel content Local & Travel-Specific SEO • Optimize for location-based searches and "near me" queries • Implement local SEO strategies for destination-specific deals • Optimize for travel-related search features (Google Travel, Maps integration) Analytics & Reporting • Set up comprehensive tracking in Google Analytics and Search Console • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic growth, and conversion metrics • Provide monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations • Track competitor performance and identify new opportunities • Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results • Demonstrated success with e-commerce or deals/promotions websites • Experience in travel, hospitality, or related industries strongly preferred • Proficiency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.) • Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and implementation • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or similar CMS platforms • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager • Understanding of travel industry seasonality and booking patterns • Knowledge of deal/coupon site optimization strategies • Familiarity with travel-specific search behaviors and user intent Preferred Qualifications • Google Analytics and Google Ads certifications • Experience with international SEO and multi-language optimization • Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles • Familiarity with email marketing and social media integration • Experience with review and reputation management Original job Freelance SEO Specialist - Travel Deals / Promotions Website posted on GrabJobs ©.
