Freelance Illustrator - Remote
A unique opportunity is available for a talented comic illustrator to contribute to a personal superhero comic book project centered on a young girl with creatikanesis powers. The role involves visually interpreting the story and characters, crafting dynamic and expressive illustrations that capture the essence of the narrative. This is a fully remote position, ideal for illustrators passionate about comics and storytelling, and eager to collaborate on a creative project from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
Create original character designs and environments that align with the comic’s tone and themes
Develop sequential art panels that effectively convey action, emotion, and narrative flow
Collaborate closely to interpret story outlines and feedback into engaging visual storytelling
Deliver high-quality digital illustrations suitable for print and digital publicationEnsure consistency in style, color palette, and character representation throughout the project
Meet agreed-upon deadlines and maintain open communication regarding project progress
Skills And Requirements
Strong portfolio demonstrating comic illustration skills, with a focus on character-driven storytelling
Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Procreate
Ability to design expressive characters and dynamic action scenes
Understanding of comic panel composition, pacing, and visual narrative techniques
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness in a remote work environment
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Availability to commit to the project timeline and deliverables
Based in any location; applicants from Liverpool, UK, or nearby are welcome but not required
