Freelance Driver for Student Transportation
Job Title: Reliable Transportation Specialist
Schedule:
• Variable, dependent on extracurricular schedules
Typical hours range between 10-20 per week
Key Responsibilities:
• Transport students in a safe and timely manner to and from school events while adhering to safety procedures and applicable regulations
• Operate and safely drive a vehicle in both favorable and unfavorable weather conditions while transporting passengers to activities
• Maintain courteous behavior while operating vehicles and comply with traffic regulations
• Communicate bus rules, safety protocols, and behavioral expectations to passengers and address any improper behavior immediately
• Facilitate communication with student's parents regarding resolving inappropriate or unsafe behavior
• Assist students and passengers when necessary with boarding and unloading the bus
Requirements:
• Possession of a current CDL with passenger endorsement
• Ability to operate a vehicle equipped with air brakes (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Skills in organizing resources, being detail-oriented, prioritizing tasks, and working independently
