Skills • Recent public accounting experience (within the past five years) • Experience in public sector audits (schools, hospitals, municipalities, agencies) • Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills Responsibilities • Conduct financial statement audits and attest engagements for government-funded entities • Assist with audit wrap-up and review, including finalizing work papers and checklists • Review draft financial statements and related audit documents • Report audit findings to stakeholders • Train and develop audit staff • Maintain excellent client and team relationships Qualifications • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Education Requirements Credential Category • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Experience Requirements • Recent experience in public accounting with a focus on public sector audits (within the last five years) Why work in New York, NY New York City offers a vibrant and dynamic environment with countless opportunities for professional networking and development.
