(Fractional) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Interim Finance Lead - Contract to Hire

Hi there! We’re Samako, a fast-growing e-commerce brand from The Netherlands, building a new standard in the cleaning space. In just five years, we’ve grown into a beloved brand with 100,000+ happy customers, strong sales on Bol, Amazon, and our own webshop, and a community that genuinely loves our products. Now, we’re looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to help us take the next leap. What You’ll Do: - Maintain rolling 12-month cash flow model to keep liquidity healthy. - Build clear, visual dashboards that make our financial position easy to understand at a glance. - Prepare and reconcile P/L statements against departmental budgets and actuals. - Conduct SKU, cohort, and channel profitability analyses to identify growth and margin opportunities. - Streamline the accounts payable process in line with cash flow strategy. - Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including dependency on specific channels or suppliers. - Optimise the cash conversion cycle to free up working capital. - Collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and supply chain to align budgets and forecasts. What Success Looks Like: - Always up-to-date, 100% acurate financial data. - Positive cash flow with a healthy liquidity buffer. - Clear, actionable profitability insights per product, channel, and department. - Lower operational costs while maintaining speed and quality. - A scalable, data-driven financial system that supports rapid growth. - CEO fully freed from day-to-day financial operations. What We’re Looking For: - Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar. - 5+ years’ senior finance experience, e-commerce experience is a must - Strong skills in cash flow management, forecasting, and margin optimisation. - Proficiency with multi-channel sales data (Shopify, Bol.com, Amazon, TikTok). - Strong data visualisation and dashboarding skills (Power BI, Excel, Exact). - Experience managing P/L and budgets across departments. - Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus). - Knowledge of national and international tax regulations. - Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills.
