Fractional Chief Financial Officer CFO (GovCon / HUBZone)

Job Description We are an IT Services HUBZone company with a focus on Fed/Civ and DoW clients and we are seeking a hands‑on Fractional CFO. This is a fractional engagement (approximately 5-30 hours per month. This role is execution‑oriented and focused on strengthening financial discipline while supporting strategic decision‑making. This is not an advisory‑only role. The CFO must be comfortable working directly with financial data, accounting partners, and leadership to improve visibility, cash management, and operational rigor. Key Responsibilities • Perform short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting and burn management • Clean up financials and improve monthly close discipline • Work directly with the company CPA to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and timely • Establish and maintain EBITDA and management-adjusted EBITDA reporting • Prepare and present Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial reports to leadership (CEO and COO) • Support DCAA audit readiness • Evaluate and advise on DCAA-compliant timekeeping systems • Support strategic planning initiatives and KPI dashboard development • Translate financial data into clear, actionable guidance for leadership Qualifications Required: • Direct experience in government contracting • Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Fractional CFO • Exposure to DCAA-compliant accounting environments • Experience with labor and timekeeping systems used in Government Contracting • Comfortable working in a fractional, hands-on engagement model Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Apply tot his job
