Fractional CFO, TikTok Shop and Shopify, Multi Brand E Commerce
Who we are We are building a portfolio of direct to consumer brands designed to scale through TikTok Shop as the primary channel, with Shopify as the operating hub. The plan is not one store, it is multiple focused brands across categories like supplements, apparel, and other consumer products. We are early, but execution is already in motion. Brand builds are underway, product direction is set, storefront infrastructure is being built, and paid media budgets will be deployed soon. We want a finance leader in our orbit now so we can move fast without losing margin discipline. The role We are looking for a fractional CFO who can plug in as a true operator, not just reporting and bookkeeping. You will help shape the finance engine that lets us scale responsibly, hire at the right pace, and protect cash flow while growth accelerates. This starts as fractional. If performance is strong and volume justifies it, the role can become full time. Timing expectations This is a pre hire pipeline role. We will begin conversations immediately, and we expect to bring the right person in on a fractional basis in roughly the next two to three weeks, sooner if momentum demands it. What you will own 1. Cash flow control and forecasting Build a weekly cash model that ties together inventory, ad spend, fulfillment, platform payouts, refunds, chargebacks, and operating expenses. 2. Unit economics and margin protection Create clean contribution margin reporting by SKU, by channel, and by offer. Help us avoid scaling something that looks like growth but is actually margin leakage. 3. Working capital and inventory planning Plan purchasing, reorder points, and payment terms so we do not get trapped in stockouts or over ordering. Manage the cash conversion cycle. 4. Finance stack and operating cadence Implement the right tools and close cadence so we always know where we stand. You will set standards for KPIs, dashboards, and weekly finance reviews. 5. Hiring and spend decisions Advise on when to hire, what to outsource, and what to automate. Help us build the right org chart sequence so we do not overbuild overhead. 6. Payments, tax, and basic risk controls Support sales tax approach, entity structure hygiene, payout reconciliation, fraud awareness, and clean documentation for lenders or future buyers. What we are looking for You are a proven fractional CFO or finance leader with real experience scaling e commerce profitably, ideally with TikTok Shop exposure and strong Shopify fluency. You should have experience with several of the following: • TikTok Shop payouts, reserve policies, refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliation • Shopify analytics, third party apps, and order economics • Performance marketing economics, blended CAC, MER, LTV, cohort behavior • Inventory and fulfillment finance, including 3PL workflows • Building finance processes for a company moving from early stage to multi brand scale • Preparing a business to be audited, financed, or sold Compensation Fractional monthly retainer based on scope and time commitment, plus performance based upside that can expand as we scale.
