If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can actively shape processes, influence decision-making, and grow with the company – we’d love to hear from you.How you'll contributeTake ownership of our financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and models that give insights into business performance and support strategic decisionsPartner with project managers to increase transparency in actual vs planned costs on project levelPartner with teams across the business to understand drivers, challenge assumptions, and help improve financial outcomesSupport monthly and quarterly investor reporting, including preparing materials and commentaryWork closely with the VP Finance on funding topics, scenario planning, and strategic initiativesContribute to the development of internal tools and processes that help scale the finance functionSupport monthly and quarterly financial close activities with an external tax accounting functionYour first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverablesMonth 0-3Built a deep understanding of our business model, key drivers, and cost structureTaken over core responsibilities in monthly reporting and budget vs. actual analysisImproved the structure of existing spreadsheets and reporting filesEstablished good working relationships with key stakeholders across departmentsMonths 3-6Developed and implemented a forecasting model to support regular re-forecastingTaken ownership of our investor reporting model and contributed to board materialsSupported funding and grant application processes with tailored financial data and analysisIdentified and started improving manual processes (e.g., automating recurring reports)Months 6-12Rolled out new internal reporting formats and dashboards across the companyPlayed a key role in the next annual budgeting cycle and long-term planningBuilt robust financial models for scenario analysis and strategic projectsContributed to shaping our FP&A function and played a visible role in company-wide planning discussionsAbout you✔ You are a university graduate or have up to approx. 4 years of professional experience in FP&A, controlling, M&A, or financial modeling, ideally in a start-up, scale-up, VC-backed company, or management consultancy✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, CFA or MBA is desirable✔ You’re highly analytical and structured, and you enjoy translating numbers into insights✔ You’re comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets, and ideally have experience with BI tools✔ You understand the fundamentals of accounting and financial statements well✔ You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders✔ You’re fluent in English; German is a plus but not requiredWhat we offer30 days vacation plus public holidays to ensure you also have the down time needed to rest and rechargeThe possibility to grow and shape your roleWorking with founders who understand - and invest time in - the importance of building a healthy and sustainable organizationOpen and transparent communication on company developmentNoteworthy points❌ This role cannot be done fully remotely.
