How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities) Delta Professional Services (DPS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Flight Operations Support Planner to provide key logistical support for DPS clients external to Delta Air Lines. This part-time position plays a critical role in coordinating simulator training events, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and client-specific requirements, and maintaining accurate training records. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a solid understanding of flight operations and scheduling systems. Liaise with Delta Flight Operations Planning Team to ensure simulator availability aligns with training needs.Communicate simulator availability and assignments with external partners.Collaborate with Program Managers to develop class schedules based on simulator and instructor availability.Utilize Delta’s scheduling tools to accurately document training events.Resolve scheduling conflicts and implement last-minute changes as needed.Notify and schedule pilot instructors for assigned training sessions.Coordinate and assign simulator training events for client students. What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications) • Familiarity with Flight Operations and FAA regulations. • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities. • Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems such as Delta’s DBMS, SIMON, and other DPS tools. • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software platforms • Provide scheduling support to other DPS planners as needed. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software platforms • Provide scheduling support to other DPS planners as needed. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software platforms • Provide scheduling support to other DPS planners as needed. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles. • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. • Analytical Thinking: Applies logic and reasoning to solve complex scheduling challenges. • Problem Solving: Makes sound decisions while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Attention to Detail: Delivers accurate, compliant, and timely work. • Diversity & Inclusion: Works respectfully and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds. • Integrity: Demonstrates high ethical standards and honesty in all job functions. • Innovation: Brings forward-thinking ideas to improve scheduling and planning processes.
