Job Title: Formatter / Proofreader

• Engagement Type: Contract (Part-Time) -12 Months - Without Sponsoship and not open for C2C

• Weekly Hours: Up to 20 hours/week, with potential to increase based on departmental needs
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Formatter/Proofreader with strong experience in scientific and regulatory documentation. The successful candidate will support the preparation of FDA regulatory submissions by ensuring all materials are accurately formatted, aligned with internal style guides, and free of grammatical or stylistic errors. This role requires excellent attention to detail and proficiency in document management tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proofread regulatory application sections to ensure:
• Narrative consistency
• Accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Adherence to established style guides and templates
• Format documents using electronic publishing software to meet internal and external (e.g., FDA) requirements
• Convert reference articles into publishable formats
• Ensure scientific documents conform to journal or regulatory submission standards
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency across documentation sets
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in proofreading and formatting, preferably within a regulatory or scientific environment
• Demonstrated expertise in Starting Point, EndNote, and SharePoint
• Strong grammar and editorial skills
• Experience with FDA tobacco-related regulatory work (preferred)
• Background in formatting scientific manuscripts to meet journal submission standards
