Forklift Driver (High Reach)
Job Title: High Reach Forklift Operator (1st Shift)
Location: Swedesboro, NJ
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: Competitive based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and certified High Reach Forklift Operator to join our team at a food manufacturing facility in Swedesboro, NJ. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a reliable candidate who has current or previous forklift certification. The ideal candidate must be able to provide proof of certification and demonstrate experience in operating high reach forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
? Safely operate a high reach forklift to move products, materials, and equipment throughout the facility
? Load and unload trucks, stock and retrieve products from high shelving units
? Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain an organized warehouse
? Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
? Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
? Inspect equipment daily for any mechanical issues or damage
? Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow
Qualifications:
? Must have current or previous high reach forklift certification and be able to present certification upon request
? Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a high reach forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
? MUST be able to work around tight corners and as high as 5 bays high.
? Experience working in a food manufacturing facility is preferred but not required
? Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
? Must be able to work in a cold environment (36-38 degrees)
? Must be punctual, reliable, and have a strong work ethic
? Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures
Shift Information:
? Initial Training Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
? Post-Training Shift: After completing training, the shift will transition to 12-hour shifts, working 3 days one week and 4 days the next week.
? Week 1: 3 twelve-hour shifts
? Week 2: 4 twelve-hour shifts
