Foreclosure Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:Request and follow up for legal documents from courts and clientsDraft legal documents for attorney review including motions, proposed orders, supporting affidavits and various pleadings for sale documentsSupport the Firm Attorneys with general Legal Assistant tasksReview dockets and public records for case progress and recordingsPerform Quality Control checks on drafted pleadingsCommunicate with Clients and provide status of accounts in multiple Client SystemsCoordinate and schedule hearings with opposing counsel and prepare documents for the sameHandling Original Documents, recordings of originals, and/or Filing with the courtsCross train and assist in other departments to ensure continuity Job Requirements:2+ years of experience in a legal assistant support role or in a similar position.Legal experience in the foreclosure field is desiredAbility to work in high volume, fast passed environmentAbility and willingness to assist other teams when neededAbility to maintain accuracy, be detail-orientated and highly productivePC proficiency, Microsoft Office, Internet ExplorerAbility to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing Ability to work both independently and contribute in every aspect to a team environmentAbility to problem solve independently Must have a Positive attitude Job Type: Full-time Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth InsuranceVision InsuranceDental InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramHealth Savings AccountLife InsurancePaid Time OffReferral ProgramSchedule:8-hour shift and overtime as needed.
