Job Summary As a Food Service Worker at Morrison Healthcare, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food to our patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. If you have previous customer service and food service experience, that's a plus, but we're also willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to our recipes and production standards Present and serve food in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables Weigh and measure designated ingredients Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service and food service experience preferred, but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods Preferred Qualifications: Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) Experience working in a healthcare setting Basic knowledge of nutrition and food preparation Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Food Service Worker at Morrison Healthcare, you will need: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes and production standards Ability to lift and move heavy objects Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Morrison Healthcare, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
