We are proud to be recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.Job Description: Our 1099 Virtual Urgent Care Physicians provide high quality, patient-centered, acute care services through secure video and phone consultations. This role is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating low to moderate acuity medical conditions while delivering exceptional patient experience in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical acumen with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage care efficiently in a technology-enabled model.Must be able to work weekends!Responsibilities: Provide real-time medical consultations to patients via video, phone, or chat platforms.Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions remotely.Prescribe medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and regulatory requirements. Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records.Educate patients on self-care, preventive measures, and treatment plans.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.Contribute to maintain clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures.Requirements: Education:Board certification in family medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or related field.Valid medical license (MD, DO) in the relevant state(s).Multi State licensure required (Compact State participation preferred) - 30+ state licenses highly desiredMinimum 5 years of post-residency experience (Urgent Care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or primary care)Experience:Prior telehealth experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.Proficiency with telemedicine technology and electronic health records.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, especially on weekends.Skills:Clinical decision-makingPatient educationTechnology literacyTime management and efficiencyCompassion and empathyPatient satisfactionFirst Stop Health is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
