Job Description As a valued colleague on our Financial Crimes team, you will play a critical role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating mortgage fraud and other financial crimes that pose risk to Fannie Mae and the housing finance system. The Impact You Will Make Plan, conduct, and document inquiries into allegations of mortgage fraud, and reconcile fraud risks or recommend investigations. Assess allegations of mortgage fraud related to the origination, processing, and underwriting of loans, as well as the sale and servicing of loans or REO properties. Resolve conflicts between allegations and facts through analysis of documentation, data, and investigative findings. Analyze and evaluate investigative progress to reassess priorities, leads, and direction based on predetermined goals and objectives. Conduct research and prepare investigative reports and supporting statistical data in accordance with established policies and procedures. Apply sound judgment while managing multiple investigations in a dynamic, risk-focused environment. Qualifications Minimum Required Experiences: 2 years of relevant experience in mortgage fraud investigation, financial crimes, risk management, compliance, or related discipline. Desired Experiences: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
