Financial Coach (Remote, Part-Time)
Job Summary

As a Part Time Remote Financial Coach, you will conduct one-on-one phone-based sessions with clients and guide them through key financial decisions from buying a home or car to evaluating options for getting out of debt.
Our services are offered to employees of companies as an employer-paid benefit, so you don’t have to worry about finding clients or selling products — just helping people with their money.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with strategic plans and actionable advice for creating and following a budget, repaying debt, preparing for large purchases, and building savings
- Track clients’ progress and hold them accountable to defined goals
- Maintain updated knowledge of personal finance rules, terms, and best practices
- Collaborate virtually with other coaches to develop and improve our services and procedures
Job Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of financial coaching or planning/advising experience in a professional capacity
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Comfortable and confident discussing a variety of personal finance topics with clients and inspiring them to take action
- The ability to do quick, back of-the-napkin math and a knack for problem solving
- High Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
- A passion for helping families grow their financial courage and understanding of financial topics
- Ability to devote at least 15 hours per week (on average) to coaching
- Tech savvy - comfortable using Google Products (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and familiar with or willing to learn Slack
- A reliable internet connection and a private quiet space for taking coaching calls
Preferred:
- Accredited Financial Counselor® (AFC®) and/or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)
Compensation:
- $50 per hour; paid monthly
- 401(k) with a 4% match (100% immediately vested)
