Financial Analyst for Professional Service Firms Location: 100% Remote Work Hours: 9AM - 5PM Pacific Time Monday-Friday The Good CFO is hiring a strategic Financial Analyst to support our media, advertising, and marketing agency clients across accounting and finance operations. If you’re an Excel/Google Sheets power user with deep QuickBooks Online and automation experience, this role is for you. You’ll streamline and automate financial models, systems, and workflows using AI and leading tools, and partner with both our internal team and clients to build robust models, reports, and analyses. Key Responsibilities • Create financial models to support business decision-making • Build comprehensive financial reports and analyses for internal teams and clients • Research, evaluate, and implement AI and other technology tools, applications, and systems • Provide advanced Excel and Google Sheets support, including: • Developing Google Scripts • Creating automations • Importing data from QuickBooks Online and other systems • Optimize workflows within our tech stack (QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and Harvest) • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and implement tailored solutions • Document processes and create training materials for internal team and clients • Stay current with AI, emerging technologies and best practices in financial systems Qualifications • Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets • Knowledge of automation tools such as Zapier, Make and n8n to pull data from various sources including QuickBooks Online • Extremely tech-savvy with strong analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Experience in client-facing roles, comfortable communicating with clients and their staff • Knowledge of financial modeling, reporting, and analysis techniques • Ability to thrive in a busy, exciting startup environment • Self-directed work style with strong task completion orientation • Enthusiasm and excitement about professional growth and development • Preference for autonomy and taking initiative • Strong desire to work for a values-driven company • Background in finance, accounting, or business analytics preferred • Experience with automation tools and AI implementation a plus The Good CFO Just as a business thrives on profits, it flourishes with purpose.
