Financial Analyst

Alpha IR Group is a strategic investor relations consulting firm providing investment community intelligence and positioning strategies to publicly traded companies. They are looking for a Financial Consulting Analyst to monitor market trends, draft client materials, and assist with client inquiries while delivering exceptional client service.ResponsibilitiesMonitor daily news and stock movements of our clients, their industry, and peersPerform periodic market research around key issues and topics that are impacting our publicly traded clientsDraft and edit client materials including investor-facing news releases, financial presentations, memos, and factsheetsCreate and drive quarterly deliverables and analyses for our clients using PowerPoint, Excel, and WordPerform regular analysis of client’s shareholder base and shareholder targeting strategiesMonitor sell-side research and develop targeting strategies for additional sell-side coverageHelp with administrative tasks including coordination of press release distribution, earnings calls, and website updatesAssist in responding to ad hoc client and investor inquiriesSpend 10-20% of your time on the phone communicating to portfolio managers and analysts on Wall Street as 'the eyes and ears on the Street' for our clientsCompose client materials including memos and executive summaries for companies facing strategic decisionsSkillsBachelor's Degree required1-3 years of applicable work experience within financial services, portfolio management, corporate finance or related consultingSolid foundation of corporate finance and accountingOutstanding critical thinking, oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and project management skillsDesire to provide top-notch client serviceProficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and WordMBA or equivalent preferredExperience using Capital IQ, Ipreo, Bloomberg, and/or FactSet is considered a plusBenefitsComprehensive health insurance plan with dental options.STD, LTD, ADD and Life insurance.Paid time off (PTO) including vacation and sick days.Employer safe harbor 401(k) retirement savings plan.Employee transit benefits program (IL only).Company OverviewThe Alpha Companies, including Alpha IR Group and Alpha Advisory Group, deliver fully integrated and comprehensive Investor Relations, Communications, Issues & Crisis Management, and Transactions & IPO Advisory capabilities to build, protect, and enhance corporate reputations and investment brands.
