Finance Manager Pro Bono: Global/Remote - Make An Impact!
Job Summary
Pro Bono: The Finance Manager maintains UniversalGivings day-to-day financial operations across each Business Unit. They update and implement detailed, fiscal management practices. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to sound financial processes and procedures. You may have a first career and want to do this as a second career, or you are financially independent.
UniversalGiving is an award-winning nonprofit allowing people to donate and volunteer with top-performing, vetted organizations all over the world. 100% goes directly to the cause. All partner organizations are vetted with our proprietary Quality Model. UniversalGiving has been featured on the homepage of Bloomberg, Oprah.com, CBS, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. UniversalGiving also has been featured in more than 16 books, including the new edition Harvard Business Review Book, HBR Guide to Delivering Effective Feedback, Arianna Huffingtons Thrive, and Laura Arrillaga-Andreessens Giving 2.0. Responsibilities:
Work with accountants on annual 990 tax preparation
Prepare financial reports as required
Review/manage PayPal account for team member payment
Review/manage monthly disbursements through PayPal to NGO partners
Review Business Unit Budgets
Conduct research and provide recommendations on CDs, T Bills & other financial matters
Prepare, process and review Business Unit Expense Reports
Manage bill payments and cheques received
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or equivalent knowledge and experience)
Minimum 2-3 years of finance experience
Experience with nonprofit finances and accounting practices preferred
Critical attention to detail
Clear verbal and communication skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (some training provided)
Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus
