Finance and Accounting Manager (Remote)
Pareto is pleased to announce that a company with which we partner is looking to hire an Accounting & Finance Manager to join their team. This is a REMOTE opportunity. Must be located in the US. Previous experience in a SAAS environment and public accounting is highly desirable.
POSITION: Finance & Accounting Manager
LOCATION: Remote, USA-based
COMP: Base salary $90-$110k plus equity potential
Responsibilities:
As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will own critical accounting processes, support FP&A activities, and collaborate across teams to improve operations as our business grows. Youll be a trusted partner to multiple stakeholders, leveraging your skills and intellectual curiosity to make meaningful contributions to the companys success.
Month-End Close Cycle: Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of general journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly analytics. Oversee month-end accrual processes for all functional areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Accounting and Controls: Own specific close processes and implement accounting controls to achieve a GAAP-compliant close. Research and apply revenue accounting principles to complex transactions. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies across the organization.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through financial analytics.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other areas to provide accounting and finance support. Partner with teams to implement and maintain scalable processes, policies, and controls.
Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by preparing key information and documentation. Maintain relationships with third-party payroll providers and public accounting firms.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to support scalability as the company grows. Assist with ERP and other system implementations to enhance operational efficiency.
Special Projects: Lead or participate in ad hoc projects to support the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications:
4+ years of accounting experience, including month/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in a SaaS company is highly preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Ability to work across different time zones with team members in various locations.
Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems with curiosity and analytical rigor.
Precision and thoroughness in financial processes and reporting.
Commitment to ethical standards and acting as a trusted steward of financial information.
