File Based Data Delivery Engineer
What We Offer: File Based Data Delivery Engineer focuses on designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining secure, compliant file-based data exchange processes using Fortra's GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform. The position ensures reliable, encrypted, and auditable file transfers between internal systems, external partners (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, payers, labs, and regulatory bodies), while strictly adhering to HIPAA, HITECH, and other compliance standards. This is a Remote Position. Candidates can be located in any state EXCEPT NY, NJ, IL, and CA. Only considering candidates with 3 plus years of experience in system integration or data exchange. What We're Looking For: Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science, Information System or related field. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Computer Science, Information System or related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered. Experience : 4 years in system integration or data exchange, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Certification or formal training in GoAnywhere MFT administration/development, preferred. Cloud platform certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP), preferred. Additional Skills (required): Experience implementing secure file transfer platforms and automation solutions. Experience implementing secure file transfer technologies (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS). Experience in high-volume healthcare environments with 24/7 operations. Strong troubleshooting skills for production integration issues. Understanding of data security, encryption, and secure data exchange. Experience with enterprise integration platforms and healthcare interoperability environments. Strong documentation and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Commitment to data security, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance. Additional Skills (preferred): Experience working in healthcare IT environments. Familiarity with cloud integrations (e.g., Azure Blob, AWS S3, Google Drive) via GoAnywhere connectors. Experience with healthcare integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Interfaceware Iguana, Epic Bridges, Cerner OPENLink) and how they interact with file-based feeds. Experience with monitoring and alerting for integration platforms. Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR. What You'll Do: Provide technical leadership for enterprise file transfer and automation integrations. Mentor engineers and promote best practices for integration reliability. Ability to listen to customers and colleagues, convey ideas. Utilizes appropriate escalation paths and communication plans on significant issues, project statuses, barriers, and successes. Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Communicates clearly with stakeholders regarding file automation workflows Monitor file transfer activities via GoAnywhere dashboards. Set up alerts/notifications, review audit logs, and generate compliance reports to support HIPAA audits and internal security reviews. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable data exchange services. Design, configure, and implement GoAnywhere MFT workflows, projects, and tasks for automated server-to-server file transfers, including scheduling, monitoring, and error handling. Set up and manage secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, PeSIT, and others supported by GoAnywhere, ensuring encryption in transit and at rest. Implement file-level encryption using OpenPGP, PGP, or other methods, and manage key/certificate generation, rotation, and secure storage. Troubleshoot and resolve file transfer failures, connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents in a timely manner. Maintain integration documentation including data exchange specifications and operational procedures.
