Field Service Technician: Midwest Region
In-Situ Environmental is a leader in on-line analysis of water chemistry. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical support and field service for their Process Sensors and Analyzers, ensuring successful equipment installation and maintaining customer relationships. Responsibilities Be part of the team of technical experts providing technical support and field service for the full line of In-Situ Process Sensors and Analyzers (In-Situ, ChemScan and Partech products) Perform on-site installation, calibration, and training of process sensors and on-line water analysis instrumentation Assist customers to maximize product reliability (usable data-up-time) through remote and on-site service and replacement parts Coordinate with site owners and contractors to ensure successful equipment installation Manage regional customer relationships to nurture service and support Assist Regional Sales Manager with technical support and pilot/demo projects Attend regular product and application training at an In-Situ Process facility Maintain accurate field service kit inventory Able to write detailed service reports detailing troubleshooting, parts used and analyzer data Review with Customer on unmet needs, promotion of service offerings, and generation of leads and closure support for service jobs/offerings Skills The preferred candidate will have a strong technical background with good mechanical and electrical skills Have completed a chemistry course with a basic understanding of photometric analysis Have experience with industrial instrumentation including basic knowledge of PLC equipment communication Have good communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Ability to travel approximately 60% to 80% of the time to customer sites in the local region with some occasional opportunities throughout U.S, Canada, and overseas travel Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) matching Short and Long-Term Disability Group Life/AD&D Insurance Employee Assistance Program Will and Trust Preparation Services Travel Assistance Services 10 paid holidays per year (set by the company) 20 days FTO (Flexible Time Off) accrued evenly throughout the year Paid Parental Leave Continuing Education Dependent Care Wellness Reimbursements Company Overview In-Situ simplifies water monitoring for surface water, coastal, groundwater, aquaculture, drinking water and wastewater applications with reliable, low-maintenance instrumentation and user-friendly software designed to work together.
