We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Field Service Specialist to join our Ion Chromatography Service team in the Tampa Bay, FL area. The ideal candidate will work in a territory that includes but not limited to parts of FL, AL, GA and SC reside within the Tampa Bay, FL area. As a successful Metrohm Field Service Specialist you will apply your instrument /chemistry knowledge and technical experience with ion chromatography equipment to solve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance. On-site services will include a range of tasks, from simple to complex repairs, installations, preventive maintenance, certifications, and refresher training for benchtop Ion Chromatography (IC) equipment. In addition, this role provides the opportunity to collaborate with Metrohm’s Process Analytics customers, focusing on IC equipment integrated within Metrohm’s advanced Process Analytics solutions. You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email and Microsoft Teams. The ability to juggle and prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory and work within a team is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with local Sales colleagues and customer support, ensure sure-fire success in this role. Significant field travel will be required and is expected to average 70% of the time. Ideal Experience and Education: BS/BA in Chemistry (or closely related degree) and 2-4 years of hands-on repair experience with ion chromatography, and other chemical instrumentation equipment. Experience traveling for business in the past is a plus. Additional requirements: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, employment and education verification and a 10-panel drug screening, which includes marijuana, is also necessary.
