Field Service Power Generation Technician
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in New Hudson, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Completing repair activities on generators or components
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of service
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
ResponsibilitiesTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.Basic Diesel Engine experience.Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.Compensation and Benefits Base: Salary rate commensurate with experience. Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required.Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experienceQualifications- A current valid license is required for this role- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical- 3 years driving experience- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or olderCompanyCummins is an equal opportunity employer.
