Field Sales Specialist
Bonterra Organic Estates is part of the Viña Concha y Toro family and is focused on excellence and responsible business practices. The Field Sales Specialist will build strong relationships with independent retail accounts, ensuring product distribution and program execution in the Greater Los Angeles area.ResponsibilitiesTravel to retail stores to perform merchandising activities, construct displays, update pricing and special offers, and stock/rotate (where legally permissible) the Bonterra Organic Estates-VCT-USA portfolio of wine brands on shelves, displays and cold boxes in retail accounts as requested by sales teams or retail customersEnsure our products are up to date, our brands are well represented, and our presence stands out in assigned retail accountsEnsure 100% distribution of all authorized SKUs in cold box and on shelf in all assigned accountsInstall promotional point-of-sale materials to achieve display objectives and stock products as neededAssist in stock rotations, shelf resets, and backroomEstablish and follow an efficient and economical routing pattern that ensures assigned accounts are serviced and merchandised as neededUtilize various equipment such as a pallet jack, two-wheeled and U-Boat platform trucks, case cutter, and price gunStrategize/preplan on how best to achieve objectives by understanding company pricing and product programming information on a monthly basis and maintaining accurate historical account purchase informationParticipate in work withs; present at distributor meetings; participate in sales blitzes, as neededCollaborate with VCT-USA internal departments including brand/marketing, trade marketing, and regional sales teamsSkillsHS Diploma/GED or equivalent and minimum one year previous sales experience, or equivalent education/experience combinationPassion/interest in wine, requiredStrong attention to detail and highly organizedAbility to work calmly under pressureSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionAble to establish rapport and persevere to achieve goals despite the competing demands of store personnel; effective negotiation and objection handling skillsEffectively use hardware such as laptop, mobile phone and digital cameraValid Driver's License, vehicle and insurance requiredMust be 21 years of ageAssociate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or universityDemonstrated familiarity with the operation of a chain store and prior merchandising experience, preferredUnderstanding of three-tier distribution system process, advantageousWine education/certification (CWE, SWE, WSET), a distinct plusBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife & DisabilityTax Savings (401k with company match)Short and Long-Term DisabilityPaid vacationSick leaveCompany holidaysHealth Care and Dependent Care FSA benefits available to eligible employeesCompany OverviewPart of the distinguished global winery Viña Concha y Toro, one of the world’s largest and most respected wine companies, we are a leading U.S. It was founded in 1968, and is headquartered in Hopland, California, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
