POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a well-versed Federal LMR Engineer who can join our team for a long-term project! This project requires you to be on-site and is a 40-hour a week opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Systems Engineer with LMR systems experience.
Provide technical leadership with the design and implementation of complex land mobile radio (LMR) systems
Provide Systems Engineering support and management after contract award, including: final design and equipment

selection, implementation, as-built documentation, factory and on-site installation support; system optimization; and

customer acceptance testing and commissioning
Applies systems engineering principles and theory to propose design and configuration alternatives
Reports to field locations to assist in the solution of problems and controlling damage rendered by situations of an

organization, technical or personnel nature
Serves as the primary focal point for technical issues on the project team

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST have a BSEE or equivalent technical degree
MUST be in the DC area or willing to relocate to the DC area
MUST be able to pass a top secret security clearance / US Citizenship required
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in the radio communications area, extensive

knowledge/understanding of Land/Mobile Radio.
5+ years of experience with radio equipment theory and communications systems.
Understands technology and system functionality and can perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of system

issues to ensure system availability.
Knowledge of battery backup systems, base stations, repeaters, multi-couplers and duplexers, and possess basic IP

networking skills.
Strong customer interface, presentation, and written communications skills Comprehensive understanding of complex IP

based land mobile radio (LMR) systems which includes; networks, site civil and construction; and installation and

commissioning of telecommunications equipment.
Be able to apply and contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques, solve complex problems with

innovation and use considerable judgment in complex situations.
Must be a self-starter & have excellent time management skills with the ability to balance priorities and work well under

schedule pressures.
Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions among functional groups
