• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of field sales experience in the technology industry, promoting PaaS or IaaS to Federal Civilian Agencies.
• Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.
• Experience driving technology adoption and digital transformation within an existing account base.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience working with, and managing, cross-functional internal teams (e.g., Business Development, Customer Engineers, Partner Sales) and external partners in complex implementation projects and negotiations.
• Experience promoting cloud computing technologies to large and complex government organizations across geographies.
• Understanding of data and networking technologies, the global cloud computing market, and key drivers for growth in the public sector.
• Ability to manage business and commercial models while leading organizational transformations and delivering on results.

As a Field Sales Manager (FSM) for Public Sector, you will manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) who sell to our new and existing Public Sector accounts related to different public entities. You’ll leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner to deeply understand their unique company challenges and goals. You will participate actively in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned strategic objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
• Lead a team and implement go-to-market propositions in the public sector. Work with Marketing, Demand Management, Solutions, and Product and Engineering teams to produce a focused proposition.
• Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction and act as an advisor to the customer.
• Work with wider Google Account teams to develop and drive pipelines and provide guidance. Work with Google Cloud Platform Partners to develop campaigns.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Marketing resources to provide input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them to optimize Google Cloud Platform in a given team. Work towards strategic business goals.
• Build a pipeline of customers within selected accounts.
