Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields for harvest activities or the packing facility for packing operations. There will be no smoking allowed in the field or packing areas. Picking Stones: Workers will hand pick stones to be removed from fields. Weeding: Workers will hand pull weeds competing with crops and will dispose of weeds according to instructions given by their supervisor. Hoeing: Workers will work through crops using hoes. Workers shall not damage crops with tools. Harvest Cucumber: Workers will hand pick cucumbers. They will collect and sort correct produce sizes based on supervisor indication. General Activities: All Crops: During field operations, workers may be required to operate forklifts, pull weeds, move irrigation pipe, clean and repair housing, and perform farm and field sanitation.
