Facility Interventional Radiology, Same Day Surgery, Observation Medical Coder
Job Description: • Provide coding and abstracting services for clients on facility same day surgery / observation and interventional radiology CPT records • Use established coding principles and software to assign diagnostic and procedural codes • Participate in industry forums as well as support coding education within the team • Reviews medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures relative to the patient's health care encounter • Ensures appropriate DRG assignment • Responsible for utilizing company applications to enter charts coded in real-time Requirements: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related medical coding experience • Facility same day surgery / observation and interventional radiology coding experience • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPS, and CPT coding principles and guidelines • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Benefits: • healthcare • 401(k) • paid time off Apply tot his job
