Facilities Maintenance Specialist - Full-Time Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at SSC Services for Education as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our facilities team at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, providing a safe and distraction-free learning environment for students of all ages.
This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with company match, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the building and campus
Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture
Record information from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems
Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors and checking electrical appliance use
Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, clear debris, and remove snow from sidewalks and parking areas
Set up and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and scaffolding for events
Perform ad-hoc cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and servicing restrooms
Requirements:
Previous residential and commercial maintenance experience preferred
Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required
Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one rotating on-call weekend per month
