Sight Savers America is an Alabama-based 501(c) (3) nonprofit that was founded in 1997. Our mission is to identify and secure treatment for unmet vision needs that impede a child’s ability to reach their full potential in school and in life.

Over the last 27 years, the Sight Savers America (SSA) Eye Care Program has provided individual case managed follow-up eye care services to more than 600,000 children who failed vision screenings or were otherwise referred to SSA.
