Our Expert Tutors are the role models for the students studying on our Software Engineering program. They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, teach them the skills necessary to be a great SE professional. They guide students through the program and into their future careers, making sure all students get the most out of both regardless of their background.
What you will do
As an expert tutor you will be a big part of students educational process and will
Mentor students during 1-1 video calls; youll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments;
Communicate with students via video during group Q&A sessions for drop-in questions;
Host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or attend other non-educational meetings with students;
Share your professional expertise and best industry practices with the students.
Requirements
You have 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering;
You are skilled in in HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript, React, Node + Express;
You have 2+ years of experience working in the US tech industry;
You are ready to dedicate 10-15 hours a week (or slightly more if you wish) to this project, sometimes on weekends;
You are passionate about your profession, the SE field and its development.
We appreciate it if you have
Teaching or tutoring experience;
Your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study Software Engineering.
What we can offer you
Pay rate of $45-50 per hour based on experience;
Remote, part-time work (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed);
A schedule thats convenient for you, there isnt a focus on micromanaging;
Free in-house training on how to be a great tutor and role model for students, choose the appropriate tone of voice when communicating with students, improve soft skills;
