About the Role We're seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia, on a full-time basis, with the flexibility to work remotely. As a Systems Administrator - Expert, you will be responsible for configuring, building, monitoring, maintaining, updating, and upgrading client servers in a mixed OS environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and experience in supporting critical government contracts. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage RESTful web services using Spring MVC Framework and Spring Boot Microservices. Develop and deploy Microservices applications using Spring Netflix Proxy (Zuul) as a reverse proxy server, Ribbon for client-side load balancing, and Eureka as a service discovery mechanism. Implement RESTful web services using various tools, including Jersey RESTful Web Services, Dropwizard, and Restlet. Build and secure REST applications using Spring Security and OAuth 2.0 for workflow authorization and authentication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have a total of 12 years of applicable experience, which can be a combination of degree and work history. The ideal candidate will have: A High School degree and 12 years of relevant work experience, or An Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant work experience, or A Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant work experience, or A Master's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience, or A PhD and 2 years of relevant work experience. In addition to the required experience, you must also hold a Top Secret clearance with polygraph (TS/SCI) and be able to maintain this clearance throughout your tenure with our team. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience with cloud-based technologies and migration to cloud environments. Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills in systems administration, including experience with mixed OS environments. Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, and experience with Spring-based frameworks. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
