Expert AI Consultant (3-Hour Strategic Consultation for Regulatory Intelligence Platform)

Project Overview DigitalRegIntel is an early-to-growth stage SaaS company providing real-time regulatory intelligence for businesses operating in fast-evolving domains such as AI, Crypto, and DeFi. Our platform aggregates, analyzes, and interprets regulatory developments across 20+ U.S. and EU agencies, providing clients with actionable insights to manage compliance risks efficiently. We are seeking a senior-level AI consultant to perform a focused, 3-hour consultation to evaluate and advise on enhancing the performance, scalability, and accuracy of our AI-driven analytics engine. Objective of Engagement The consultation will help the DigitalRegIntel team: Assess current AI/ML system design, particularly text analysis and regulatory intelligence modules. Identify potential optimizations or architectural improvements (e.g., model selection, data pipelines, inference cost reduction, or fine-tuning strategies). Explore opportunities to enhance model accuracy, speed, and maintainability within current business constraints. Provide practical, prioritized recommendations to guide short- and medium-term improvements. Scope & Deliverables Duration: 3 hours total (1.5-hour technical deep dive + 1.5-hour strategy and recommendations discussion) Consultation Topics May Include: Review of current AI stack: language models, NLP pipelines, data ingestion, and summarization methods. Benchmarking model performance (accuracy, latency, scalability) relative to use-case needs. Optimizing data annotation, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines. Improving domain adaptation for regulatory and policy text corpora. Evaluating options for integrating third-party LLM APIs, open-source models, or hybrid approaches. Governance, auditability, and explainability for AI in compliance/regulatory contexts. Cost-performance tradeoffs and potential toolchain refinements (e.g., vector databases, fine-tuning configurations, evaluation frameworks). Ideal Consultant Profile 7+ years of experience developing or advising on AI/NLP systems in enterprise or SaaS environments. Strong background in text analytics, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and LLM evaluation. Experience with regulatory, legal, or financial-domain data (desired but not mandatory). Working knowledge of MLOps, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS), and model deployment pipelines. Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and policy experts.
