Apple's Platform Services & Operations group in Core OS is seeking a skilled Workflow Systems Analyst to join their team on a remote basis. As a Workflow Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in designing and developing essential workflow tooling at scale, enabling teams to deliver high-quality software through superior engineering experiences, efficient workflow, data-driven insights, and a culture of continuous improvement. About Apple's Core OS Organization Apple's Core OS organization is dedicated to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and apps into a single, seamless Apple experience. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, and contribute to the development of innovative products that people love. Key Responsibilities Dashboard Developer: Visualize key metrics and progress toward goals, and develop interactive dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Analyst: Provide insights and visualization expertise to a mature team of Data Scientists and Engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. Iterative Dashboard Design: Present dashboards to teams, gather feedback, and refine end products to ensure they meet the needs of stakeholders. Characterize the Current State of Workflow: Profile complex systems, document them, and identify areas for improvement to optimize workflow efficiency. Insights: Identify patterns and trends in large datasets, and develop data-driven insights to inform business decisions. Change Agent: Work directly with partner teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations and drive business outcomes. Essential Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst. Solid working knowledge of Analytics: visualization, statistics, and the Analytics Maturity Curve (Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, Prescriptive). Ability to turn research into insights: develop key metrics, recommend policy changes, and provide action plans to all levels of leadership. Advanced Tableau developer. Capable SQL user: aggregation, nested queries, and data inspection/validation. B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills Familiarity with Software Development Analytics: CICD, DORA metrics, and LEAN software delivery. Experience in Software Development: understanding build pipelines, merging, checking systems and methods, and the delivery of code. Product Ownership: fully responsible for key outcomes for a project - experience driving efforts and generating concrete results through analytics. Project management: plan and drive efforts, working across partner teams toward a unified goal.
