About the Role We're seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Workers' Compensation Field Case Management team in Monroe, MI. This is a work-from-home opportunity that offers a competitive salary, full benefits, and a performance-based bonus. As a Field Case Manager, you'll coordinate and facilitate the medical treatment of clients, primarily from workers' comp claims in various stages of recovery. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of clients from various referral sources, verifying the specific reason for each referral and developing a strategy to complete and document all activities and progress. Travel to meet clients, providers, and employers in the Monroe, MI, and Toledo, OH, area (up to approximately 75 miles from Monroe) to complete assessments, identify medical and vocational barriers, and create strategies towards facilitating the rehab process. Attend appointments with clients and providers to review medical status and discuss treatment plans, comparing recommended treatment plans with clinical protocols and collaborating with providers to resolve any differences. Meet with employers as needed to determine what's required for clients to return to work, including documenting job analysis and reviewing requirements with providers. Maintain regular communication with employers to facilitate return to work and provide detailed information on significant developments to referral sources within 24 hours. Complete catastrophic referral training within the first year and manage occasional catastrophic referrals outside regular business hours. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: Background and Experience 3+ years of clinical practice experience. 3+ years of case management experience with workers' compensation, disability, and auto liability preferred. If no case management experience, 5 years of Home Health Care and/or Hospice care. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Education and Licenses Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Nursing/Registered Nurse (RN) license. Preferred certifications: CCM, CDMS, COHN, COHN-S, CRRN. Skills and Competencies Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with standard corporate software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing delivery of rehabilitation services.
