**Responsibilities**

As a Work-from-Home Customer Service Advisor at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

* **Researching, processing, and resolving customer and health care provider questions**: Provide accurate and timely solutions to complex health insurance inquiries, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
* **Relaying detailed information to customers, managers, and clients**: Effectively communicate with customers, managers, and clients to ensure that their questions are answered and their concerns are addressed.
* **Initiating status reports or service recovery letters**: Document and communicate the status of customer inquiries, ensuring that customers receive timely updates and resolution.
* **Routing inquiries when appropriate**: Identify and route customer inquiries to the relevant teams or departments, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
* **Educating new and existing customers and team members on relevant policies, procedures, and specific benefits**: Provide training and support to customers and team members, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills they need to navigate complex health insurance questions.
* **Documenting details of each interaction in the tracking system**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, ensuring that customer information is secure and easily accessible.
* **Offering timely and accurate solutions through inbound and outbound conversations**: Provide exceptional customer service through phone calls, chats, emails, and other communication channels, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

* **Excellent communication skills**: Clearly convey detailed information to customers, managers, and clients.
* **Analytical skills**: Evaluate complex information and draw reasonable conclusions to resolve customer inquiries.
* **Basic math skills**: Provide support surrounding payments and other financial transactions.
* **Empathy, listening, organizational, quick thinking, multitasking, and time management skills**: Effectively manage multiple customer interactions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* **Ability to work in an ever-changing environment**: Adapt to changing customer needs, policies, and procedures.
* **Computer skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
* **High school diploma or equivalent**: Meet the minimum educational requirement for this role.
* **Two or more years of customer service experience**: Previous experience in customer service, call center work, retail, restaurant, fast food, hotel, or any role where you interacted with customers.
* **Typing speed of 30+ words per minute**: Meet the minimum typing speed requirement for this role.
* **Availability to work shifts within the center's hours of operation**: Be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time, with possible Saturdays and Sundays from October through March.

**Nice to Have**

* **Experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing**: Previous experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing can be beneficial in this role.
* **Conversant in health insurance industry terminology**: Familiarity with health insurance industry terminology can help you navigate complex customer inquiries.
* **Demonstrated knowledge of health care policies, procedures, applicable certificates, and riders**: Knowledge of health care policies, procedures, and applicable certificates and riders can help you provide accurate and timely solutions to customer inquiries.
* **Knowledge of customer service techniques**: Familiarity with customer service techniques can help you provide exceptional customer service.

**Remote Work Requirements**

To work from home, you'll need:

* **Michigan residency**: Be a resident of Michigan to work from home.
