Experienced WordPress Developer Needed for Event Registration Workflow Improvement
WordPress / Elementor Developer Needed — Gravity Forms + MEC Registration Workflow
Sync Recovery (a nonprofit recovery community organization based in Pennsylvania) is seeking an experienced WordPress developer to help us improve and streamline our event registration workflow.
This is an immediate project with potential for ongoing website support work.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our website is built using:
• WordPress
• Elementor Pro
• Gravity Forms
• Modern Events Calendar (MEC)
Each event page contains a Gravity Forms registration form embedded within a Modern Events Calendar event post.
Many of our participants attend multiple events throughout the year. Currently, they must re-enter the same personal information every time they register.
We want to simplify this process for returning participants while preserving our existing workflow.
PROJECT GOAL
Implement a returning-participant registration workflow that allows previously submitted information to be reused or pre-populated in future event registrations.
The solution should:
• Allow returning participants to quickly populate their information
• Allow new participants to register normally
• Work with Gravity Forms entries
• Maintain our MEC event workflow
• Be sustainable for a nonprofit team to manage
• We are open to the developer’s recommendation for the best implementation approach.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Current workflow:
1. Event created in Modern Events Calendar
2. Gravity Form embedded in event page
3. Participant completes registration form
4. Data stored in Gravity Forms entries
Desired outcome:
• Retrieval of previously submitted participant data
• Dynamic population of Gravity Forms fields
• Reusable Gravity Forms event-registration template
• Documentation of the workflow for our team
Possible approaches may include:
• Gravity Forms entry lookup
• Dynamic population
• Email-based retrieval of prior entries
• Gravity Wiz Populate Anything (or similar)

COLLABORATION EXPECTATIONS (IMPORTANT)
We are specifically looking for a developer who:
• Is comfortable meeting via Zoom when needed
• Communicates clearly in spoken and written English
• Is available during US Eastern Time business hours (9am–5pm)
• Can guide non-technical team members
• Is collaborative and responsive
• Clear communication is essential for this project.
