Job Overview This full-time Order Builder position is situated in a remote location, offering a fantastic work environment that is both dynamic and supportive. As an Order Builder, you will play a critical role in our warehouse operations, responsible for receiving and processing incoming products, picking and filling orders, stacking and wrapping products, and building pallets. Your strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently using a voice-controlled system will be essential in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Safely and accurately select customer orders, free of damage, using powered material handling equipment in a multi-temperature warehouse environment. Build orders according to assigned load tickets, ensuring that all products are properly stacked and secured. Shrink wrap and label orders, preparing them for shipping and delivery to our customers. Move completed orders to the loading dock or trailer, coordinating with other team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery. Use powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or walkie-riders, to move products and materials throughout the warehouse. Accurately receive inbound products, replenish and manage inventory as needed, and perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate powered industrial equipment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures to meet productivity requirements. Observe all safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or concerns to management and participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge. Other projects or duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset, including: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably in a role that involves order building, picking, and packing. Ability to work independently using a voice-controlled system, with strong attention to detail and ability to accurately select and process customer orders. Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and climbing required. Basic math skills and ability to read and understand instructions, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and deadlines, and adapt to new situations and challenges. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or walkie-riders. Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures, with ability to accurately receive and process inbound products. Basic computer skills and ability to use a voice-controlled system, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in a unionized environment, with understanding of collective bargaining agreements and procedures.
